Improvisation can seem like an instinctive activity - a talent some people are born with; but with a few simple tips and techniques it's something that everyone can learn. Unlike the usual Singing for Larks workshops, where the group learns songs which have already been arranged in harmony, in this workshop we take musical phrases and short songs and, using a variety of improvisation methods, you'll make up the harmonies as you go along. The emphasis is always on creating a
group improvisation so, although you will be free to contribute your own individual ideas, you're not required to sing on your own. This workshop is suitable for those who want to use improvisation as a way into creating harmony arrangements for songs as well as for those who just like the spontaneity of creating harmonies on the spot! Maximum 25 participants.
